The Gena Branscombe Project seeks to honor the legacy of Gena Branscombe and promote equity in music by uplifting the voices of all music professionals across the United States and beyond.

Vision

Following in the footsteps of Miss Branscombe herself, The Gena Branscombe Project will be a means of connection and amplification for composers, conductors, arts administrators, and performers of all backgrounds, with a special focus on students and young professionals.

What We Do

The Gena Branscombe Project invests in the next generation of conductors, composers, and administrators through scholarship awards. To revive Miss Branscombe’s legacy, we work to acquire her lost scores and transform them for performance. Further, TGBP sponsors concerts of Miss Branscombe’s compositions and those of her colleagues. Commissions for compositions for aspiring composers are awarded at the discretion of TGBP Board of Directors.
